We haven’t gotten things right very much, but water day was super fun and there is absolute pure joy on Brighten’s face in this picture. My kids show me daily how to enjoy this time together.

A week ago today I publicly shared for the first time about March 25, 2011. This was a day when I saw with my own eyes God work a miracle and alleviate a burden that felt much too big to carry. I was in college, and when I arrived home to be with my parents to celebrate, I was greeted by familiar faces of neighbors and friends who wanted to join in the celebration with us.

Happy New Year! I love even-numbered years. Except for the fact that I wasn't born on one, most of the wonderful things in my life have happened on even-numbered years (met Jason in 2010, married in 2012, Swanson in 2014, Brighten born in 2016, etc.).
