This morning I finished reading/studying my 28th book of the Bible since January 1, 2021. It hasn’t been perfect — I’ve gotten behind, I haven’t understood, I haven’t retained information I probably should already know, I’ve felt bored at times, I’ve cried, I’ve felt hard-hearted, I’ve put it off, I’ve been convicted, I’ve prayed over it, I’ve avoided hard prayers, I’ve learned, I’ve been arrogant — it’s been a journey, but here I am.
As Tara Leigh Cobble says weekly, “…you’re probably reading the Bible more than you would on your own! Think about the things you’ve learned so far. Reflect on the attributes of God’s character that you’ve seen in the chapters we’ve read so far. Lean into those things, and ask Him to grant you an increasing desire to know Him more! He can change your heart!” 🙌🏽 Yes and amen!
