Happy 6th Birthday to my Grady-man!

What a year it’s been for Grady. Since last December 21st, we’ve wrapped up Pre-K, started kindergarten, played a ton of baseball, made lots of new friends, put together 68,279 LEGOs, gained some independence, and gotten stitches in the chin and staples in the head.

He’s been to California, New York, Disney World and Land, Grandparent Camp in Destin, and to see the Braves play twice in Atlanta!

He’s gained a new cousin (the first boy cousin!), learned to ride his bike without training wheels, taken up basketball, started riding the bus, started learning to read, and really just thrived in the face of lots of new adventures.

A few things that haven’t changed about Grady — he’s the best friend you’ll ever have. He’s loyal and inclusive and wants to have fun ALL the time. He loves his people fiercely, and he shows it with every word, hug, smile, and cuddle. His kindergarten teacher explained him perfectly at parent conferences: Grady loves life.

It’s hard to watch these babies grow up and not need me as much as they used to, but I love who Grady is becoming and I’m so glad I get to be his mom 💙
