It took over 7 months of living in our new house, but on this rainy, holiday Thursday, Jason and I spent some time reorganizing and decorating Brighten’s room.
Our girl oftentimes has some big anxiety, and she’s been asking for her “old room” for a while. She loves our new house, new neighborhood, new yard, new friends, most the new, but my sweet girl missed her room. I’ve been telling her that we brought all of her stuff from her old room with us, but just hadn’t unpacked it yet. But today, we made good on our promise to make her new room looks like her old room, but even better!
I bought her Beddy's (Vintage Blush - Minky) this spring because she started sleeping on the top bunk bed. In our old house, she slept on the bottom and the top bunk never got un-made. But with a top bunk sleeper, I needed something easy to take on and off of her bed that was easy for her to make up when she cleans her room.

Chest of drawers is a hand-me-down that was my mom’s when she was little, then mine, then my sister’s, and now it’s Brighten’s.
I’m so proud of how it turned out!!
