I am not a makeup artist or makeup blogger or expert in any sense. But I’ve always enjoyed trying new things. Also, this may be the most trivial post I’ve made in a long time. But sometimes it’s nice to just have a little fun.
As someone who has a pretty neutral palette to work with (brown hair and brown eyes), it’s always been fun for me to figure out simple ways to make my features a little more defined.
Since I’ve been a WAHM for 3.5 years, I feel like I have been searching for the best quick, put together look that translates from park to client meeting. I also hate sweating my makeup off in the humidity, so finding products that are good quality but lightweight has been challenging.
But quarantine and pandemic life has helped me weed out what I deem “necessary” and I’m really happy with what I’m calling my “Summer Essentials” makeup (I’ve also honed in my skin care routine, but that’s another post for another day).
in order of how I put it on…
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser (under eye)
Jouer Soft Focus Hydrate + Set Powder (light)
Physicians Formula Multi-Colored Blush (blushing rose)
Thrive Causemetics Eye Lift 360 Waterproof Primer
OFRA Highlighter (star island) — use as eye shadow
Benefit Gimme Brow (cool black-brown)
Sephora Retractable Eyeliner Waterproof (brown)
