Harry's for Her

One of the podcasts that I listen to every week has been sponsored by Harry's for years and years. I've loved the idea of supporting a business like Harry's that appreciates good quality in life's mundane tasks, like shaving. But Harry's has always been marketed toward men. So, I've gifted their products to my dad, my father-in-law, and of course Jason has a Harry's razor. But for some reason I'd never thought to try Harry's for myself until I realized that I actually shave much more often than Jason does, but my razor was not nearly as nice as his.

Of course I decided that I had to rectify this little discrepancy. I searched high and low for a women's razor that outdid Harry's. And guess what? I couldn't find one. So in July, I started my Harry's plan.

Harry's is a subscription-based shaving company that delivers high quality razors at a fraction of the cost of some of the big names in having, like Gillette. They also have shave gel that smells amazing and for the men there's a face wash and aftershave as well.

I ordered the free trial set for $13. With my $13 purchase I got a super heavy duty handle with a blade (it's a 5-blade razor), a travel cover for it, and a sample of the shave gel.  Y'all, there's no way I could not buy a razor, plus a high quality shaving gel for $13 at Target. Plus, the quality is just unmatched.

I'm now on a plan that auto-ships every three months. You can setup your account to ship anywhere from every month to every six months. Each shipment I get an eight pack of blades and a full-size shaving cream for $21. Again, I wouldn't be able to get that from a regular store, especially not for the quality of product that Harry's delivers. When you do the math, each blade comes out to be about $1.87.

I've been using Harry's for a few months now and I have to admit that I truly love it. I think that each shave lasts longer, which is seriously worth its weight in gold, am I right ladies?! Especially as we walk into the cooler months when we all wear pants more, who wants to have to shave as frequently? Not me, I can assure you of that.

I'll be honest, my biggest complaint with Harry's is that they don't market to women. None of the handles are in feminine colors and I don't get that at all. Like I said, when I realized that I shave more than Jason does, it really made me stop and think about how little thought I put into what razor I use and its quality.

I'm so glad I made the switch to Harry's, even if it's not meant for me. You can become a Harry's subscriber too and help me advocate for "Harry's for Her" by clicking here and saving $5 on your first box.
