How many of you out there in the world of GROWN-UP-JOBS wish that Spring Break was something that was universal? Teachers, you have both a grown-up-job and a Spring Break, but you also 110% deserve it :)

Well, I think we should all get a Spring Break.

Obviously I can't say for certain the best parts of my new job yet, since I just started today, but I can say the one best part so far is that I got a nice little trip home to Destin to see my family! Since my last day at Martin was on Thursday, that created a naturally great weekend to make the 4.5 hour drive down to the beach (a.k.a. my hometown). Also, my sisters were on their Spring Break and so were my parents, so we all got to hang out this weekend. It was a blast!

Saturday I took a little 'me time' to get ready for my first day of work. Mani/pedi and a good book.

Saturday night this handsome fella took me out to a nice seafood dinner. If you're looking for good seafood in Destin at a place that isn't super crowded and has decent prices, try Fisherman's Wharf on the harbor. You won't regret it.

Sunday was the most perfect day to be in Destin.

Once we got back to Birmingham, a little shopping. Unfortunately, this guy didn't make it home with us. Tell my husband that our backyard needs it. Thanks!

Overall, we had a great little mini-Spring Break. Now, it's back to reality and new adventures. Day one at Grace House...let's go!
