Pregnancy Dreams

A few nights ago I had what can only be described as a "pregnancy" dream.

And for all of you who are now wondering, no, I am not pregnant.

But I am expecting a baby. And as it turns out, no matter what, when you're expecting, you have insane dreams.

In this particular dream, we were still adopting but rather than going to Ethiopia to bring home our boy, I had to give birth to him. That's not too outlandish, right? Jk. It's crazy.

The catch is that when I gave birth, he'd be the age we'll actually bring him home...so somewhere between the age of 6 months to 2 years old! That could potentially be a big ole boy, especially when we're talking about to birth.

If you know me at all, I have a for real fear of actually giving birth, so needless to say, I woke up in a complete panic from this dream.

I don't remember many of the details, but I was surrounded by Jason, my parents, and several doctors who wanted to be their for the "adoption-birth." I remember laying on a table and as I went into labor, I told the doctors, "Hey there, umm, feel free to do a c-section. I'm 100% okay with waking up with a baby in my arms. I don't have to actually be conscience for this whole ordeal."

Well, birthing your adopted child may be a little cray cray, but it's precisely accurate that this future mama is completely content without (read: afraid of) the whole birthing experience.

Pregnancy and adoption may be a lot different (except in my dreams), but becoming a mommy is the same feeling no matter how your child is "delivered." I, for one, cannot wait to join the mommy club.
